Kaye Veazey is a results-oriented, award-winning senior communications professional who can provide strategic advice to executive leadership, enable change, and develop measurable, innovative strategies that support the company’s vision, mission, goals and bottom line. Here’s a look at her career:
- At International Paper, Kaye developed an award-winning, industry-leading environmental communication plan that included the first-ever environmental annual report in the forest products industry. Her efforts helped to change public and employee perceptions of the company’s compliance record and its reputation for environmental responsibility. Results included a 58% reduction in the company’s environmental incidence rate, the dismissal of several environmental lawsuits, and removal of the company from the Council on Economic Priorities’ “Environmental Laggards” list.
- At Honeywell (formerly AlliedSignal), Kaye served as chief internal communicator for Chairman and CEO Larry Bossidy, writing “CEO Commentary,” cited among the reasons why AlliedSignal was named as one of the “100 Best Companies to Work for in America.” She also partnered with Human Resources to shape the strategy for Total Value, an effort to evoke cultural change. Results included savings of more than $1.3 million and double-digit increases in employee satisfaction. Kaye also served as Corporate Identity Leader during the AlliedSignal-Honeywell merger and was the first communications leader to work in both the AlliedSignal and the former Honeywell structures. She was the communications leader for both the automotive Consumer Products business, and the Home and Building Controls business.
- At Motorola, Kaye was the employee communications leader for the Personal Communications Sector where she developed the Internal Marketing function – a group dedicated to transforming traditional employee communications into strategies that marketed the business, its leaders and its brands to employees in an effort to communicate with them as the shareowners they are, the consumers they are, and the sales and marketing people they should be.
Kaye’s expertise includes strategic planning, change communications, internal marketing, crisis communications, executive communications, media relations, corporate identity and branding, video production, community relations, speechwriting, intranet development, media training, and events marketing.
